Trail Running Races on Dartmoor

Saturday 23rd January 2027

PAGAN TRAILS is based in Chagford in the north-eastern corner of the Moor, where mythical, mystical Dartmoor meets the lush valleys of the Upper Teign and Bovey Rivers.

Saturday 27th February 2027

The route will be in the usual clockwise direction for the Hammer Half. Anti-clockwise for the Hammer 7EVEN.

Saturday 1st August 2026

THE CROSSING was the first OuterEdge ultramarathon. Originally 34 miles. We have had to amend the route since 2022 due to Dartmoor National Park directives. But the route is still 33.5 miles with the finish line and Event Centre at the Ivybridge Rugby Club.

THE GREAT ESCAPE starts from Princetown in the heart of the Moor, taking in the last 15.5 miles of THE CROSSING, with big wide open spaces, and traversing a remote moorland wilderness along the Abbot’s Way.

THE DARTMOOR VOLCANO RACE is a 10.5-mile tour of the Southern Moor, with over 550 metres of ascent.
